Obituary

VIRTIE STAMPER, age 84 years of Bel Air, MD died at her home on Wednesday, February 29, 2012. She was the wife of James Wilburn Stamper who died on April 23, 2008.

Mrs. Stamper was born on May 6, 1927 in Short Creek, Virginia, the youngest of ten children of the late James Monroe and Rachel (Beasley) Flanagan.

She was brought up in the Primitive Baptist Church. For the last 10 years she worshiped at Mt. Carmel Primitive Baptist Church, Bel Air, MD.

She is survived by:

Two sons: Wilbur M. Stamper and his wife Deborah of Narvon, PA

Timothy W. Stamper and his wife Cheryl of Orlando, FL

One daughter: Esther G. Miecznikoski of Bel Air, MD

Two sisters: Ruby Shupe of Austinville, VA

Ethel Parnell of Bassett, VA

Also survived by ten grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Saturday March 3, 2012 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Primitive Baptist Church, 1707 Churchville Road, Bel Air, Md. Viewing Sunday March 4, 2012 from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. at Bethany Baptist Church, 4162 Delta Road, Airville, Pa. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Elder Steven Bloyd officiating.

Interment will be in Slate Ridge Cemetery Delta PA

Memorial contributions may be made to Mt Carmel Primitive Baptist Church at the above address.

Pallbearers are her grandsons, Brian Stamper, Timothy Stamper II, Eric Stamper, Matthew Miecznikoski, Craig Gabel and Justin Thomas.
