VIVIAN FAYE COCHRAN, age 79 years, died on Wednesday, July 4, 2007 in her home in Delta, Pennsylvania. She was the wife of Vearle Cochran and they shared fifty-nine years of marriage.
Mrs. Cochran was born on April 25, 1928 in Gypsy, West Virginia a daughter of the late Ronald and Bonnie (Scott) Jones. Mrs. Cochran was a volunteer with the local PTA, created beautiful wedding cakes for numerous couples, and enjoyed working with ceramics. At the age of 50, she went back to school and became a nursing assistant. She worked for the former Church Home & Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Mrs. Cochran was a member of the Bryansville United Methodist Church. She was a devoted wife and homemaker, cherishing her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by:
A son, Vincent Vearle Cochran and his wife, Karen of Parkville, Maryland
A daughter-in-law, Valerie Cochran of Dundalk, Maryland
Five grandchildren-
Jessica Orlando, Vearle Cochran and Vincent Cochran, all of Parkville, Maryland
Tanya Cochran and Tina Cochran, both of Dundalk, Maryland
Five great grandchildren-
Anthony Cochran, Gavin Jarvis, Selena Rolfes, Austin Jarvis and Christopher Rolfes, all of Dundalk, Maryland.
She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Cochran on January 28, 2007.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Bryansville United Methodist Church, 2325 Bryansville Road, Delta, Pennsylvania with interment in the adjoining church cemetery.
Her minister, Pastor Judy L. Walker will officiate.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 6th from 7-9 PM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania.
