WAYNE LEE HOPPE, age 64 years of Norrisville, Maryland passed away peacefully in his home after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, May 10, 2012.

Born on October 22, 1947 in Baltimore, Maryland, he was a son of the late Cletus D. and Mary (McMaster) Hoppe. Mr. Hoppe was a proud American Hero, serving his country with the United States Army in the 1968 Vietnam TET offense. He was an Honored Disabled American Veteran.

Mr. Hoppe was known to meticulously tend his tree farm and operated his home based sawmill.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Linda

His daughter, Michelle Lynn Hoppe.

A sister, Esther Lupton

A brother, Garry Hoppe

Cousin and lifelong friend, Joe Polignone.

Services will be held at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 6 p.m.

Military honors will be presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
