WILLIAM HAROLD BROWN, age 84 years, died on Saturday in his home in Delta. He was the husband of Delilah M. (Scott) Brown and on September 14th they would have celebrated sixty one years of marriage.

Mr. Brown was born on September 27, 1922 in Delta, a son of the late William R. and Ruth (Baughman) Brown. Mr. Brown was a lifetime resident of the Delta area and a lifetime farmer. He was a member of the Farm Bureau and of the Faith Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Fawn Grove where he had served as an Elder.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children:

Stephen H. Brown and his wife, Lynn of Delta

Beverly Ann Simmons and her husband, Wade Simmons, Sr. of Fawn Grove

Four grandchildren-

Wesley Brown of Jacksonville, Florida

Cyndi M. Culler of Dover, Pennsylvania

Matthew Simmons and Michelle Simmons, both of Fawn Grove

Three great grandchildren

A brother, David Brown of Dover, Pennsylvania

Two sisters-

Dorothy Ruff and her husband, Jim of Monroe, Louisiana

Marie Miller of Eastern Pennsylvania

He was preceded in death by a son, William Scott Brown on November 8, 2005.

Services will be held at Faith Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 405 N. Market St., Fawn Grove on Monday, August 27th with a viewing from 2 -3 PM, followed by the funeral service at 3 PM.

His minister, Reverend Dr. Douglas Winward will officiate.

A viewing will be held on Sunday evening from 7-9 PM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta.

Interment will be in the Quaker Cemetery, Fawn Grove.
