WILLIAM DAVID MAGLAUGHLIN, 72 of Delta, PA, died in York Hospital after a brief illness in the evening of Saturday, June 22, 2024 with his family at his bedside. Born on April 24, 1952 in York County, PA, he was a loving son of his late mother, Nora Helen (Maglaughlin) Delp.

Bill graduated from Kennard Dale High School in 1971 and served with the United States Air Force from September 1971 until July 1974. Following his honorable discharge, he worked briefly for the Peach Bottom Atomic Plant. Next, he learned the trade of a mechanic and began working for Buck Iron as well as numerous businesses. Bill later trained with the late Harold Buecker who taught him to be a tractor trailer driver and accompanied him when he went for his license. Bill spent many years behind the wheel making long distance runs.

Bill enjoyed hunting, could be a bit stubborn, but will be remembered for his heart of gold and his endless caring for others. His kind heart will be missed.

Brenda Lee Toliver (Louis Caputo); Karen Smithson and Sharon Mullins.

His nieces and nephews: Beverly Hunt-Makowske, Tracy Roston, James W. Smithson, Donnie Mullins, Jr., Isaiah Mullins and Derick Mullins as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers: Robert Delp, Greg Delp and a nephew, Erick Mullins.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, June 27th from 6-8 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 28th at 11 a.m. with Reverend Timothy Hodge officiating. In honor of Bill's service, military honors will be presented to begin the funeral by the York County Veterans Honor Guard with the colors presented by the American Legion Riders, Slate Ridge Post #182 of Whiteford, MD. There will not be any interment services.
