WILLIAM WARREN GREEK, age 71 years, of Delta, Pennsylvania died on Tuesday, May 17, 2005 at 1:45 PM in his home. He was the husband of Bertha May (Tankersley) Greek for forty-nine years.

Mr. Greek was the son of the late Annie Beyer Greek. He attended Sparrows Point High School in Baltimore, Maryland. He was a long distance truck driver hauling various items and was a self-employed diesel mechanic. Mr. Greek had served as a trustee and was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church in Delta. In 1975-76, he was instrumental in the planning and financing of the new building for Salem United Methodist Church. Family members remarked that he enjoyed his grandchildren and loved being their personal taxi driver. He loved history, restoring and appreciating old cars, and crafting furniture. He enjoyed the company of his canary, Petey and his Pomeranian, Suzy.

Two sons-David Michael Greek and Leonard Warren Greek and a daughter-Patricia Ann Greek Jones, all of Delta, Pennsylvania

Eight grandchildren-Sara Metzgar of Joppa, Maryland; Brian Greek and Stormi Greek, both of Delta, Pennsylvania; Michael Greek of New Cumberland, Pennsylvania; Lisa Jones, Stevie Greek, Frankie Greek, and Jeremy Greek, all of Delta, Pennsylvania

A brother-Edward Greek of Trapville, Virginia

Services will be held at Salem United Methodist Church, 5042 Delta, Road, Delta, PA Visitations will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2005 from 7-9 PM and on Friday, May 20th from 10-11AM.

Funeral service will be held on Friday at 11AM with Reverend David A. Walker of McKendree United Methodist Church presiding.

Interment will be in the Salem Cemetery.
