WILLIAM EMMETT JENKINS, age 76 years, died on Monday, October 19, 2009 in his home in Pylesville, Maryland. He was the husband of Betty (Reedy) Jenkins, and they shared 56 years of marriage.

Born on January 12, 1933 in Norrisville, Maryland, he was a son of the late Charles Morgan and Berna (Scarborough) Jenkins. He was employed as an Over Head Supervisor for 38 years with Baltimore Gas & Electric Company. He was a member of Centre Presbyterian Church in New Park, Pennsylvania and a Troop Leader for Cub Scout Pack #964 for many years. Bill enjoyed farming and horseback riding.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 from 6 to 8 PM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, the 22nd at the funeral home beginning at 11 AM.

Pastor Dennis L. McCleary of Mt. Olivet/Mt. Nebo United Methodist Churches will officiate.

Interment will be in Centre Cemetery, New Park, Pennsylvania.

Pallbearers will be Mark Jenkins, Douglas Jenkins, William Jenkins, Jack Smith, Gordon Smith and Brian Dom.
