William Franklin Kohlbus, 77, died at his home on Monday, November 27, 2023. William was born in Havre de Grace, MD, to his late parents, Jesse R. and Emma M. (Tracey) Kohlbus. He was married to Sally J. (Wayne) Kohlbus, who survives at home.

William graduated from Kennard-Dale High School in 1966. After graduation, he completed a four year millwright apprenticeship and worked for 20 years as a machinist at Northup-Grumman in the Aerospace Division. Then, he made a second career working at Lowe's for 23 years. William was an avid builder of street rods, cared for bonsai trees and loved cats, especially rescues. He enjoyed talking with people and treasured his friends. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.

In addition to Sally at home, William is survived by his children; Robert C. Kohlbus and his wife, Joanna, of Lansdale, PA, David C. Kohlbus and his wife, Heather, of Bel Air, MD, and Brian W. Kohlbus and his wife, Cindy, also of Bel Air, MD. William is also survived by his grandchildren; Alexander, Evan, Catrina, Katelyn, Sara and Tyler. In addition, he is survived by his half-brother, Jacob Keesee, of Delta, PA and two nieces, Judy Sinclair and Shirley Morris.

In addition to his parents, William was predeceased by his sister, Louise Cruthers.

A visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Rehoboth Welsh Chapel, 1029 Atom Road, Delta, PA. A Memorial Service will begin at the church at 2:00 pm with the Reverend Richard Baskwill officiating.
