WILLIAM H. SNYDER, age 93 years of Delta, Pennsylvania, died on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Manor Care Kingston Court, York, Pennsylvania. He was the husband of Miriam (Atkins) Snyder with whom he had shared 70 years of marriage.

Born on May 19, 1918 in Castle Finn, Pennsylvania, he was the son of William Henry Snyder 1st and Della (Miller) Snyder. He was the owner/operator of Snyder's Gulf Station until his retirement in 1981. He was a lifetime resident of the area and long time member of Pine Grove Presbyterian Church in Airville, Pennsylvania. As an outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, trapping and fishing. Mr. Snyder

was also fond of trap shooting.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by:

Two children-

Donna A. Soskin and her husband, Don of Gaithersburg, Maryland

Kay Lloyd of Washington, Pennsylvania

Two grandchildren and four great grandchildren

A nephew, Carl Colvin and a niece, Shirley Peterson

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Adda Raifsnider and Margaret Colvin

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. at Pine Grove Presbyterian, 4263 Delta Road, Airville, PA 17302 with his pastor, Reverend James B. Shuler officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.

Friends may call on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania.
