WILLIAM COX TREAKLE, age 87 years, of Street, Maryland died on Sunday, July 13, 2008 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. He married Anne McKnight in the Dublin United Methodist Church in 1948, and on August 21st, they would have celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary.
Mr. Treakle was born on December 8, 1920 in Street, Maryland; he was the only child of the late William Edgar and Grace (Cox) Treakle. His Christian faith was very important to him from an early age growing up attending Emory United Methodist Church and later at Franklin Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed listening to Bible based messages, preached by his late brother-in-law, Dr. McKnight at the Evangelical Methodist Church in Dublin, Maryland. He was a past Master of the Dublin Grange.
Mr. Treakle had worked in agriculture with his father on the family farm and with Mt. Ararat Farm in Port Deposit, Maryland. He worked as a delivery man for Martins Rolls and most recently at Tom's Super Thrift in Whiteford, Maryland. He had an incredible talent for making people smile and laugh.

Renee Hudson of Palatka, Florida
Andrew Watkins of Fallston, Maryland
Three great grandchildren-
Emma, Katie and Libby Stark of Liberty Township, Ohio
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Julie Michelle Watkins on July 9, 1997.
Visitations will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9PM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, the 17th at 11 AM at Franklin Missionary Baptist Church, 2106 Franklin Church Road, Darlington, MD 21034.
Pastor Michael K. Hudson, Sr. of Christ Independent Methodist Church, Palatka, Florida; Pastor Gerald Brown of Woodberry Bible Church, Baltimore, Maryland; Pastor Rick Wilson, Franklin Missionary Baptist Church will co-officiate.
Entombment will be in Bel Air Memorial Gardens, Bel Air, Maryland.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Franklin Missionary Baptist Church at the above address or to Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church 3135 Dublin Road, Street, MD 21154.
Pallbearers will be Michael Watkins, Michael Hudson, Jr., Andrew Watkins, Neal Stark, Thomas McKnight, Rob McKnight, William Chapman, Jr. and Charles Karschner.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Donald Dell, Robert Jones, William Dickerson, Paul Butler, James Robinson, Paul Childress, Ivan Mays, Clarence Fox, John Fox and Edwin Bulette.
