Wilma S. Artis, age 95 years of York, PA formerly of Pylesville, MD died at Country Meadows, York on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010. She was the wife of the late Reverend Paul H. Artis who died in 1958.

Mrs. Artis was born on Dec. 21, 1914 in Shaffertown, WV, a daughter of the late Howard O. and Effie F. (King) Stahl. She retired from Perry Point Veterans Administration Medical Center after many years where she was a licensed practical nurse.

She is survived by 3 daughters- Catharine A. Wilson of Shepherdstown, WV - Pauline Metzbower of Harrisonburg, VA and Patricia Varner of New Freedom, PA

4 grandchildren- Jeffrey D. Wilson, Eric N. Wilson , Pamela D. Blankenship and Victoria L. Linkous.

Many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by 2 grandsons- Bartley T. Wilson and Charles R.D. Beshore Jr.

Funeral service will be on Sunday, Dec. 5 at 2 PM at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, 786 Mt. Olivet Rd., Fawn Grove, PA with her minister, Pastor Dennis McCleary officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday, Dec. 4 from 6-9 PM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main St., Delta, PA

Interment will be in St. John's Red House Cemetery, Oakland, MD on Monday, Dec. 6, 2010.
