WILMA JEAN MARTIN, age 71 years, of York, Pennsylvania died on Sunday, April 25, 2010 at York Hospital. She was the wife of Charles N. Martin who died on July 29, 2009.

Born on November 10, 1938 in Pound, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Charles V. and Margaret (Short) Hensley. She and her family lived in Pennsylvania from 1978 until 2007. During this time, she was employed by Broadmead, a Continuing Care Community in Cockeysville, Maryland until her retirement in 1997. She moved to Virginia in 2007, returning to Pennsylvania in November 2009.

She attended Sharon Freewill Gospel Baptist Tabernacle in Jarrettsville, Maryland, enjoyed reading, gardening, animals and spending time with her family.

She is survived by:

Carla J. Arney and her husband, Tim ; Theresa Ann Downs and her husband, Pete, all of Stewartstown, Pennsylvania

Joseph W. Martin and his wife, Krystal of Windsor, Pennsylvania

A brother, Reverend Chester Hensley and his wife, Loretta of Fawn Grove, Pennsylvania

A sister, Louise Bailey of York, Pennsylvania

Six grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 28th from 5 to 7 p.m. at Sharon Free Will Gospel Baptist Tabernacle, 3025 Sharon Road, Jarrettsville, Maryland with a 7 p.m. service to follow. Reverend Ray Powers will officiate.

Graveside services with interment will be held on Friday, April 30, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hensley-Addington Cemetery, Rocky Fork Road, Wise, Virginia. Directions to the cemetery may be obtained by contacting Hagy Funeral Home in Norton, Virginia at: 276-679-0192
