WILMA E. VANDER WIELE, age 103 years of Airville, Pennsylvania died at home at 2:49 a.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2008. She was the wife of Jacob Joseph Vander Wiele who died in 1943.

Mrs. Vander Wiele was born in Loraine, Ohio on November 4, 1904 a daughter of the late Harry and Mary Adeline (Sutton) Hannay. She had worked as a housekeeper for several dentists and priests.

She is survived by:

11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren

Adopted Catholic Charity children:

Norma Blevins, Paul Lynch, Charles Lynch and Joanna Eller, all of Bel Air, Maryland

Catherine Ulinski of Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania

She was preceded in death by her four children, James W. Vander Wiele, Francis Joseph Vander Wiele, Virginia Rose Baldwin and Bernadette Mary Piekenbrock.

Also preceded by one Catholic Charity child, Donald Lynch.

The Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, January 15 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 1021 St. Mary's Road, Pylesville, MD 21132.

Reverend A. Henry Kunkel, III will be the celebrant.

Interment will be in St. Ignatius Cemetery, Forest Hill, MD.

The viewing will be held on Monday, January 14 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA.
