Yvonne Holmes Cromwell, age 87 of Airville, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 3, 2012 at 5:25 p.m. surrounded by her family.

She was born October 14, 1924 in Rutland, Vermont to Renalda (Bachand) and George Surtees Holmes. She married the love of her life, Donald Fitch Cromwell on September 20, 1947. They were married for 49 years. Their life together was rich and exciting. She was a woman of strong faith and convictions. She loved primitive antiques and interior design. Her greatest achievement was providing love, support and encouragement to her husband and four children.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Fitch Cromwell; her parents, Renalda and George Holmes; sisters, Renalda Waltz, Majorie Butler; granddaughter, Sandra Ward.

She is survived by her children, Cauleen (Bob) Crane; Sherry (Billy) Paulson; Holly (Mark Petrus) Cromwell, Michael (Kelly) Cromwell; grandchildren, Kelly Crispo, Todd White, Michelle Walls, Tracy White, Jon Cromwell, Daniel Cromwell and Karli Cromwell; many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at the McKendree United Methodist Church, 3708 Delta Road, Airville, PA on Saturday, September 15 at 11:00 a.m.

The inurnment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, 4603 Rocks Road, Street, MD.
