Life Story for Robert A. ""Tommy"" Singleton, Jr.

Robert A. ""Tommy""  Singleton, Jr.
ROBERT A. “Tommy” SINGLETON, JR., age 69 years, died on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. in his home. He was the husband of Ruby M. (Dowell) Singleton with whom he had shared 51 years of marriage.

Born on June 1, 1943 in York, Pennsylvania, he was a son of Marguerite (Jones) Singleton of Darlington, Maryland and the late Robert A. Singleton, Sr. Formerly of Abingdon, Maryland, Mr. Singleton resided in Forest Hill, Maryland and had worked as a self-employed truck driver. He was a member of the Dublin-Darlington V.F. W. #10146, enjoyed horse racing and spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by:
Four children-
Robert A. Singleton, III and his wife, Lisa of Street, Maryland
Sheila Scheuerman and her husband, Michael of Abingdon, Maryland
Patty Letke and her husband, Duane of Forest Hill, Maryland
Carrie Lieske of Aberdeen, Maryland

Five siblings-
Barbara Andrews and her husband, Walter of Havre de Grace, Maryland
Phyllis Williams and her husband, Roy of Baltimore, Maryland
Teresa Martin and her husband, Jimmy of Havre de Grace, Maryland
Sandra Mason and her husband, Stephen of Riverside, Maryland
Richard Allen Singleton of Aberdeen, Maryland

Ten grandchildren-
Ashley West, Tyler Klein, Zachary Scheuerman, Sara Scheuerman, Amber Akers, Mark Arnold, Derek Bright, Adam Bright, Lee Travers and Kenny Travers.

Six great grandchildren-
James West, Matthew West, Mackenzie Travers, Erin Travers, Lee Travers, IV and Jade Travers.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Brian Travers.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 24, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Entombment will be in Harford Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Aberdeen, Maryland.
