Obituary for Elizabeth J. Macomber (James)

Elizabeth J. Macomber, 92 years, of Street, MD died at her home on October 9, 2012. She was the wife of the late Robert S. Macomber.

She was a daughter of the late Clarence Edward and Evelyn Lorraine (Proctor) James born on August 26, 1920 in Cardiff, MD. Prior to moving to Street she had spent her earlier years in the Delta/Cardiff area and in Lancaster County, PA.Libby was a devoted wife and mother to her 6 children but she always found time to help others. She was known for her entertaining of friends and her delicious home cooked meals and baked goods.

She is survived by 5 children- Margaret M. Famous of Street,MD, - Carole H. Metz of Romney, West Virginia, - Beth VanHart of Delta, PA, - John E. Macomber of Forest Hill, MD, and David A. Macomber of Street, MD
Sister- Mary Risk of Willow Valley, Lancaster, PA
6 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren

She was also predeceased by a son Robert J. Macomber

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 13 at 12 Noon at Slate Ridge Presbyterian Church, 1630 Chestnut St., Cardiff, MD 21160 with Pastor Carletta Curley officiating and assisted by Pastor Donna Snodgrass.
A visitation will be at the church from 11:00 AM until 12 Noon. A luncheon will follow the service to which family and friends are invited.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the Memorial Fund of Slate Ridge Presbyterian Church, 1630 Chestnut St., Cardiff, MD 21160
