FRANCIS MERRILL “Slick” DILWORTH, age 78 years, of Kingsville, MD died on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at 2:01 a.m. at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. He was the husband of Helen Jean (Curnoles) Dilworth and they had shared 55 years of marriage.
Born on June 24, 1934 in Kingsville, MD, he was a son of the late James Merrill and Marie Caroline (Schmidt) Dilworth. `A plumber by trade, he had worked for 30 years for Anthony Keene Construction, later known as Martin G. Knott & Associates. In retirement, he co-founded Almost, Inc., an auto recycling business in Dublin, MD with his son, Sean who continues to operate the family business. Mr. Dilworth would restore homes to be rental properties and also to provide his children with their own homes.
During the 1950’s and 1960’s, he was a dirt track racer, both sprint and modified in Maryland and Pennsylvania.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jessica Nagrabski and his brother, Albert Dilworth.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 4, 2012 from 2 – 4:30 p.m. immediately followed by the funeral service at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA. Cremation will follow.
Reverend Tracy J. Duvall, pastor of Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church, will officiate.
