Colleen's Smile

Each afternoon when we would pick Colleen up from school I would say “Hey Pretty Girl” and she would give me a smile. I decorate the bus for every season and holiday and also have the names of each child above their seat in magnetic letters. On the first day of Fall I put up leaves, and in the back of the bus I put up the words “Falling leaves”. I was short two E’s so I said, Colleen I needed to borrower yours...she just smiled. The last Friday we picked Colleen up was November 9, 2013. I had just taken down the words “Falling Leaves” and put up “Thanksgiving”. When she got on the bus that day I said, Colleen I put your two E’s back, she look at her name then look at me and smiled. I will cherish the memory of Colleen all the days of my life. Thank you for sharing her with us. Marta Bus 346 Attendant
