Obituary for Arnold A. Miller

Arnold A.  Miller
Arnold A. Miller, age 86 years, of Delta, Pa died on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Rest Haven, York, PA. He was the husband of the late Marian (Wallace) Miller.

Mr. Miller was born on February 3, 1926 a son of the late Curtis and Julia (Jones) Miller. He was a lifelong active member and trustee of Trinity AME Zion Church. He served in the US Navy during World War II. Arnie retired from Aberdeen Proving Ground in 1988 where he was a mechanic for 41 years. He was a member of the Harford and Cecil County Male Chorus.

He is survived by 2 children- Bessie Grant and her husband Daniel of Street, MD and Horace Wallace and his wife Mary of Delta, PA

4 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

3 sisters- Evelyn Brown, Tyrie Buchanan and Shirley Onley, all of York, PA

He was also preceded in death by a brother Curtis Miller.

A sister-in-law, Edna Holland of Street, MD

Also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends

Funeral service will be on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 11 AM at Trinity A.M.E. Zion Church, 1006 Main Street, Delta, PA 17314.

Visitation will be at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main St., Delta, PA on Friday, December 21st from 6:00-8:00PM and for 1 hour prior to the service at church on Saturday.

Interment will be in Trinity A.M.E. Zion Cemetery, Delta, PA with full military honors presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his church at the above address.
