Life Story for Kenneth John Shanahan

Kenneth John  Shanahan
KENNETH JOHN SHANAHAN, age 48 years, died on Sunday, January 27, 2013 in his home in Darlington, MD. Born on May 8, 1964 in Baltimore, MD, he was a son of Francis K. and Diane M. (Barton) Shanahan.

Mr. Shanahan was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving from 1984 – 86. He enjoyed music, bingo, and in his earlier years, fishing. Mr. Shanahan was an avid music lover and collector.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by:
A brother, Michael J. Shanahan of Bel Air, MD

Two sisters-
Kristy L. Jones and her husband, Buddy of Delta, PA
Terri A. Dell of Darlington, MD

Two nieces and three nephews

Visitations will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2013 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA where the funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m.

Pastor Shannon Sullivan of the Deer Creek and Mt. Tabor United Methodist Churches will officiate.

Interment will be in Darlington Cemetery with military honors presented by the United States Naval Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, his family would appreciate memorial contributions to the American Legion Post #182, c/o Mr. Michael McFadden, 2217 Whiteford Road, Whiteford, MD 21160.
