Life Story for Nancy L. Jones

Nancy L.  Jones
NANCY L. (RIGHTER) JONES, age 81 years of Churchville, MD, died on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Hart Heritage Estate in Street, MD. She was the wife of Harry L. Jones with whom she had shared nearly 60 years of marriage.

Born on November 10, 1931 in Baltimore, MD, she was a daughter of the late Charles L. and Blanche (Roberts) Righter. A registered nurse, Mrs. Jones had worked for many hospitals in the Baltimore area in addition to home health agencies. She was a member of Highland Presbyterian Church, active in church and community affairs and enjoyed playing Bridge. Mrs. Jones was an avid gardener, raising beautiful roses, a quilter and canned her own vegetables.

Mrs. Jones had been nominated for the “Most Beautiful Person in Harford County” award.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by:
Five children-
Scott Charles Jones and his wife, Linda E. of Germantown, MD
Lee Stanley Jones and his wife, Stephanie of Bel Air, MD
Linda Sue Ames and her husband, Robert A. of Churchville, MD
Barbara Allyn Jones of Germantown, MD
Rebecca Ann Webb and her husband, John of Sparks, MD

A daughter-in-law, Nancy Jones of Centerville, MD, wife of her late son, Bruce C. Jones

Sixteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews

She was also preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

Visitations will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Highland Presbyterian Church, 701 Highland Road, Street, MD 21154 where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m.

Her pastor, Reverend John V. Carlson will officiate. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, her family would appreciate memorial contributions to the church at the above address.
