Life Story for Donald F. Glenn

Donald F.  Glenn
DONALD F. GLENN, age 90 years, died at 7:10 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2013 in his home in Delta, PA. He was the husband of Grace Anna (Glenn) Glenn, and they celebrated 65 years of marriage on October 25, 2012.

Born in Delta, PA, he was a son of the late Frank T. and Bessie (Ruff, Anderson) Glenn and attended the former Delta High School. A U.S. Army Air Corps Veteran of WWII, Donald served with the South Atlantic Wing in Brazil from 1944-1945.

After the war, Donald worked in various occupations including a service station business, Pennsylvania Water and Power Company, Caterpillar Tractor and Delta Appliance. He attended Delta United Methodist Church and was a dedicated member of the Mason-Dixon Lions Club where he was named a “Melvin Jones Fellow.”

In addition to his wife, he is survived by:
Three children-
Dr. David B. Glenn, Carolyn A. Glenn and Sue E. Harry

Four grandchildren-
Andrew F. Glenn, Joseph L. Glenn, Benjamin E. Harry and Lindsay G. Nace

Three great grandchildren-
Sydney Nace, Karly Glenn and Lakyn Harry

Numerous nieces and nephews.

Donald was preceded in death by three brothers-
James F. Anderson, Wiley R. Anderson and Marshall B. Glenn

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Slate Ridge Cemetery, corner of Line and Griffith Roads, Delta, PA. Reverend Judith L. Walker of the Bryansville/Delta United Methodist Charge will officiate.

Military honors will be presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to:
Mason-Dixon Lions Club, C/O Sylvia Sanzone, PO Box 158, Delta, PA 17314 or Delta United Methodist Church, PO Box 445, Delta, PA 17314

Pallbearers will be Andrew F. Glenn, Joseph L. Glenn, Benjamin Harry, Ryan Nace, David Thompson and Ronald Wayne.
