Obituary for Harvey Mason Mays

Harvey Mason  Mays
HARVEY MASON MAYS, age 68 years of Perryville, Maryland died on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the Harford Memorial Hospital in Havre de Grace. He was the husband of Ann (Maines) Mays. They observed their 48th wedding anniversary on January 4, 2013.

Mr. Mays was born in Havre de Grace on September 21, 1944 a son of the late Harvey and Lillian (Beavers) Mays. He worked as a truck driver for J. Gibson McIlvain Co. in White Marsh for over 20 years. Later, he was employed as the maintenance mechanic for Independent Can Co. for over 15 years, the job from which he retired in 2010 due to health problems. Harvey was a U.S. Navy veteran who served in Vietnam.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by:

One daughter: Lorie Barnes and her husband Bobby of Conowingo

One sister: Shirley Miller of Whiteford

One granddaughter: Victoria Barnes

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 25 at 11:00 a.m. at the Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA.

The viewing will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.

Interment with military honors will be in Bel Air Memorial Gardens.
