I was so saddened to learn of Ruby's passing, yet I am rejoicing for her. In the time that I cared for Ruby at Country View Manor, she made such an impression on me. Ruby was humble, kind hearted, witty and oh so funny. She could make me laugh on a daily basis. That lady loved her fritos and chocolate! She was always trying to share her stash of goodies with us girls. Ruby could always put a smile on my face and bring joy to my heart. Everyone that knew Ruby loved her. I will treasure all the times I had with my precious "Ruby Girl". A week ago friday, was the last time I got to spend with her and I will remember it always. Just before taking her down to breakfast, I was reminding her of how special she was and how much the Lord loved her. She then said to me "I know that, you don't have to tell me!" Ruby had a way of telling you like it was, no mincing of words. As we made that last trip together, down the hallway to the dining room, me pushing her in the wheelchair, we sang "Jesus Loves Me". I can still hear her yelling out the part "He is STRONG". Yes, the Lord loves Ruby and she loves Him with all her heart too. I feel so blessed to have had her in my life. I love you Ruby and I look forward to the day when I will see you again.
