Life Story for Irma Virginia Fullerton

Irma Virginia  Fullerton
IRMA VIRGINIA FULLERTON, age 98 years, died on Thursday, June 6, 2013 in her home in Fawn Grove, PA. She was the wife of John J. Fullerton who died on February 21, 1985.

Born on May 24, 1915 in Bedford County, PA, she was a daughter of the late Howard Redinger and Ethel (Miller) Redinger. Raised on a farm, Mrs. Fullerton enjoyed agriculture, especially tending the orchard and caring for the chickens and steers. She was an avid gardener and had traveled in almost all 50 states. Working as a key punch operator, Mrs. Fullerton had worked for the NSA for ten years before retiring in 1962. She was a familiar person at the Delta Senior Center and bingo player.

She is survived by:
Three children –
Gene H. Copp of Fawn Grove, PA
Darlene Barton and her husband, Ed of Fawn Grove, PA
Carolyn Mattheu of Edgewood, MD

Ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and a great grandchild

A sister, Ada Brown of Denver, CO

A brother, Charles Redinger and his wife, Hazel of Cumberland, MD

Loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2013 from 3-4 p.m. followed immediately by the funeral service at 4 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA.

Pastor Jonathan W. Batchelder of Fawn Grove Church of the Nazarene will officiate.

Interment will be private.
