JOHN L. SIZEMORE, age 95 years of Fawn Grove, PA, was born in Renick, WV on October 4, 1917 and passed peacefully in his home on Tuesday, June 25, 2013. He was the husband of Dorothy Gray (Blankenship) Sizemore for 62 years when she passed away on November 21, 2000.

Retiring in 1978, Mr. Sizemore had worked for Amp, Inc. Known as “Papaw,” he was a founding member of Bel View Baptist Church, taught Sunday School until 1995, served as a deacon since the 1950’s and his membership spanned over 50 years. He was loved by all he came in contact with and will be deeply missed by family and friends.

He is survived by:
A son, Jordan Sizemore and his wife, Etta of Fawn Grove, PA

Three daughters-
Nellie Moser of Glen Rock, PA
Marie Harrington and Joann Ward, both of Fawn Grove, PA

Twenty-eight grandchildren, forty-two great grandchildren, forty-one great-great grandchildren and four great great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, James Lloyd Sizemore and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA where the funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m.

Reverend Howard Wade will officiate with interment in Slate Ridge Cemetery, Delta, PA.
