Life Story for Celia Mae Tyson

Celia Mae  Tyson
CELIA MAE TYSON, age 81 years of Pylesville, MD died at 12:30 a.m. on Monday, July 15, 2013 at the Gilchrist Hospice in Towson, MD. She was the wife of John M. Tyson who died on May 21, 2001.

Mrs. Tyson was born in Glenville, MD on November 6, 1931 a daughter of the late Arthur J. and Isabell (Garris) West. She worked as a switchboard operator for the former C&P Telephone prior to raising her family. Mae’s interests included gardening, auctions, jigsaw puzzles and paintings.

She is survived by:
Two sons: Brian K. Tyson
Dennis A. Tyson, both of Pylesville

Two sisters: Katherine Chatham
Bonita Eastridge, both of Darlington, MD

One brother, Bud West of Williamsburg, VA

One granddaughter, Maria Tyson

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Garnet, Marvin and Harold West, and her sister, Mildred West.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 19 at 11:00 a.m. at the Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA.

Reverend Harold L. Hubble will officiate.

Interment will be in Darlington Cemetery

Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
