Condolence: Aunt Darlene...... Rest in peace. I am glad that I was able to be with you and talk with you a few days before you left us. It really gives me peace that I witnessed the abundance of strength and faith you had in the Lord during your most weak, struggling time with pain. You knew you were going home to the Lord. God bless you xoxoxo

Condolence: A favorite poem of mine and one I felt befitting Darlene's departure to her new home in Heaven.
The Unknown Shore by Bishop Brent

"A ship sails and I stand watching till she fades
on the horizon and someone at my side says
She is gone.
Gone where? Gone from my sight, that is all.
She is just as large now as when I last saw her.
Her diminished size and total loss from my sight
is in me, not in her.
And just at that moment, when someone at my side
says she is gone, there are others
who are watching her coming over their horizon
and other voices take up a glad shout -
There she comes!
That is what dying is.
An horizon and just the limit of our sight.
Lift us up O Lord, that we may see further."

Condolence: My sincere condolences to each member of Darlene's family. I first met Darlene when we were preteens as her Mom and Dad hosted a prayer meeting in their home in the mid 1950's. Later we were classmates and friends at Bel Air High School. I always found Darlene true to her word and her religious convictions. In later years when we would talk occasionally she would tell me about her children and how much she loved them. She shared that she wanted the very best for them and that Jesus would be the LORD of their life. Darlene is no longer in pain but is rejoicing with all those who went on before her. Picture her in the arms of her dear Savior when times are hard and you miss her so much. There is a poem I especially like and I will post it in another entry. May the bless and comfort each of you. Condolence: 2 Corinthians 5:8 tells us, "absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." There is no doubt where Aunt Darlene is now and she is no longer in pain. I pray that the Lord would bring a comfort and peace beyond all understanding to her loved ones during this very difficult time. Love, Kim
