Life Story for Elornia Mae Wilson

Elornia Mae Wilson
ELORNIA MAE WILSON, age 76 years, of New Park, PA died on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at York Hospital. She was the wife of Mervin Wilson with whom she had shared 56 years of marriage.

Born on August 12, 1937 in Philadelphia, PA, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Evelyn (Parsons) Amburg. Mrs. Wilson and her husband had lived in York County for the past 37 years, having moved from New Jersey. She was active with the Citizens V.F.C. A homemaker, she also owned and operated the Gatchellville Store with her husband for many years where friends and family felt welcome and enjoyed fellowship together. When the store was closed, it was reopened by her daughter, JoAnn Wilson, and Mrs. Wilson continued to offer a place for social gathering where the community felt at home.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by:

Seven grandchildren- Shawn Wert; Brandon Wert; Tara Edrington; Cory Wilson; Dalton Wilson; Shielby Wilson and Jarrett Wilson

Two great grandchildren-Sydney and Zoe Wert

A sister and a brother with numerous loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Jean Wilson.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Prospect U.M. Church, 8 Orchard Rd., New Park, PA 17352 with Reverend Andrew Bradley, Sr. officiating.
