Life Story for Charles Clinton "Charlie" Huffman, Sr.
CHARLES CLINTON “Charlie” HUFFMAN, SR., age 73 years of Airville, PA died on Monday, September 22, 2014 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. Born on June 12, 1941 in Beckley, WV, he was a son of the late Buford L. and Evelyn C. (Clinton) Huffman.
A 1959 graduate of Dundalk High School, he was a self-employed carpenter working in Baltimore County for most of his life. In 2000, he moved to Delta, PA where he worked in the packaging department of the Aegis newspaper in Bel Air, MD. In 2003, he moved to his home in Airville and for the past 10 years worked with his son, Chuck, delivering the Baltimore Sun newspaper in the Street, MD area.
He is survived by:
Four children-
Charles C. “Chuck” Huffman, Jr. of Aberdeen, MD
Scott E. Huffman of Forest Hill, MD
Robin L. Anderson of Willits, CA
Nikki N. Puffenbarger of Lancaster, PA
A sister, Theda Shipe of Blacksburg, VA
Eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
His companion, Cindy L. Covino of Airville, PA.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 29, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA where the funeral service will begin on Tuesday at 11 a.m.
Public interment services will not be held.
