Life Story for Robert Charles Kelly

ROBERT CHARLES KELLY, age 60 of New Park, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at York Hospital. Born on September 17, 1954 in Baltimore, MD, he was a son of the late Charles and Esther (Picker) Kelly.

Bob was a 1973 graduate of Kennard-Dale High School in Fawn Grove where he was a member of school FFA Chapter and was employed at Maple Lawn Farms in New Park. A lifelong member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Parish, Bob loved his church family and was very active in church events. He had served as an usher for mass and was a familiar worker at the church chicken dinners. Bob was an avid Orioles fan, had many friends and was loved by all who knew him.

He is survived by:
Four sisters-
Jean Gingrich and her husband, Dick of Conestoga, PA
Marilyn Griffiths and her husband, Mike of York
Miriam Root and her husband, Brian of York
Diane Klucher of Jacobus.

He is also survived by four nieces, two nephews and a great nephew.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 18th from 5 to 8 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 19, 2015 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Parish, 1021 St. Mary’s Road, Pylesville, MD 21132 with interment in the adjoining church cemetery.

His priest, Reverend A. Henry Kunkel, III will be the celebrant.

In lieu of flowers, his family would appreciate memorial contributions to his church at the above address.
