Condolence: I was saddened to hear of the passing of Marjorie and of her husband Worley Harrington earlier. I remember them well as a child. They were very good neighbors and we would visit each others houses often. Marjorie was a very kind and thoughtful lady. I remember her coming to visit or just stopping by and giving us some baked goods she had made or something from her garden. You could always count on both of them if you needed help. Once when I was young, my Father was helping Worley on the farm and I was with him. Marjorie invited us into her house and gave us some delicious soup and some desert. They then showed us their new microwave which was fascinating to us and them because microwaves were a recent invention at the time.
My mother always enjoyed Marjorie's visits and her kindness. My father always appreciated Worley's help and his advice. On more than one occasion Worley came to my Dad's aid when it was needed. He was a wise farmer and a very good businessman. I can remember my Father telling someone one day, "Worley is the smartest farmer that I've ever known". I knew he had a high opinion of Worley.
My condolences go out to the Harrington family. We have missed them.
