Life Story for David L. Felts

David L.  Felts
DAVID L. FELTS, age 64 years of Delta, PA, died in his home on Tuesday, July 7, 2015. He was the husband of Wanda A. (McCurry) Felts, and on August 7th they would have celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary.

Born on August 27, 1950 in Welch, WV, he was a son of Verla Lee (Arnold) Felts of Whiteford, MD and the late Arnold Dayton Felts. A 1968 graduate of North Harford High School in Pylesville, MD, he had worked as an electrician for various companies, followed by fifteen years at Peach Bottom Nuclear Power Plant, from 1983 till 1998 that was mostly spent as a control room operator. After leaving Peach Bottom, he was self-employed as part owner of C. L. Felts and Company; he fully retired in 2013. Mr. Felts attended Trinity Free Will Baptist Church and most recently, Bethany Baptist Church in Airville, PA. Known for his love of the outdoors, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Family was the most important part of his life, and he cherished the times he spent with his grandchildren. A true friend, David had maintained lifetime relationships with many people.

A son, Christopher Felts and his wife, Mary of Fawn Grove, PA

Dwain D. Felts of Port Deposit, MD
Janet L. Vickers of Whiteford, MD
Judy P. Brinck of Street, MD

Three grandchildren-
Morgan Kuehne of Red Lion, PA
Stone and Steele Felts of Fawn Grove, PA

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Bradley Kuehne in August 2010.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2015 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Trinity Free Will Baptist Church, 3414 Cedar Church Road, Darlington, MD where the funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday.

Pastor Mark A. Rudd will officiate with interment in Slate Ridge Cemetery, Delta, PA.

In lieu of flowers, his family would appreciate memorial contributions to Bethany Baptist Church, 4162 Delta Road, Airville, PA 17302.
