FRANK W. FOWLER, SR., 78 years of Darlington, MD, died on Thursday, July 23, 2015 in his home. Married for 48 years, he was the beloved husband of Barbara C. (Powers) Fowler.

Born on June 9, 1937 in Ashe County, NC, he was a son of the late Dewey and Bessie Mae (Hurley) Fowler. Mr. Fowler had worked 17 years for Wiley’s Shipyard before leaving his position in 1983. He then worked for Dayton Miller’s Sawmill in Darlington followed by taking a position as custodian for Harford County Public Schools where he stayed until retiring in 1999. A Master Mason since 1974, Mr. Fowler was affiliated with Stephenson Lodge # 135 AF&AM in Darlington. A longtime member of Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church, he had served as usher, trustee and was a familiar face welcoming everyone to worship services.

Dallas Crouse of Sparta, NC

A brother, Howard Fowler of South Carolina

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church, 3135 Dublin Road, Street, MD 21154 where the funeral service will begin on Wednesday at 11 a.m.

His pastor, Reverend Tracy J. Duvall will officiate with interment in Bel Air Memorial Gardens.

A Masonic Service will be presented at the church by Stephenson Lodge of Darlington.

In lieu of flowers, his family would appreciate memorial contributions to the church at the above address.
