Life Story for Catherine E. Michalczyk
CATHERINE D. MICHALCZYK, 93 years of Delta, PA, died on Saturday, September 19, 2015 in her home. She was the wife of the late Thaddeus Michalczyk and at the time of his death in June, 1993, they had shared 26 years of marriage.
Born in Philadelphia, PA on November 12, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Warner and Reba (Lawrence) Brooks. Catherine been employed for 30 years as a line worker for the former Nabisco Bakery in the Philadelphia location before retiring in 1983. She had previously lived in Somerton, PA where she was a member of St. Christopher’s Parish. She lived in Delta with her daughter, Dolores and her husband, Larry for the past five years. She enjoyed reading and playing cards.
She is survived by:

Dolores Smith and her husband, Larry of Delta, Pa
William Ritzheimer and his wife, Geri of Buena Vista, N.J.
Two sisters-
Rebecca Murry of Huntington Valley, PA
Lorraine Anderson of Warminster, PA
Three grandsons-
Joseph Copeland of Indianapolis, IN
Scott Copeland of Daytona Beach, FL
Marc Copeland of Carabell, FL
Three great grandchildren-
Corbin Smith of Delta, PA
Sydney Copeland and Gabrielle Copeland, both of St. Augustine, FL

She was preceded in death by five sisters and a brother.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA with Reverend A. Henry Kunkel, III of St. Mary’s Catholic Parish, Pylesville, MD officiating.
Immediately following the service, the inurnment will take place in Slate Ridge Cemetery Columbarium.
