Life Story for Reverend Donna C. Snodgrass

Reverend Donna C. Snodgrass
DONNA C. SNODGRASS, 72 years, passed away at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center Tuesday, February 2, 2016. She was the loving wife of Hubert L. Snodgrass, Jr, with whom she shared 52 years of marriage.

Born on June 23, 1943 in Baltimore, MD, she was the beloved daughter of the late Donald Troupe and Hilda Holloway Channell.

Mrs. Snodgrass was proud of her rural upbringing. A farmer’s daughter of Fawn Grove, she loved the dairy farm, her Guernsey cows, and growing tomatoes. She was a 1961 graduate of North Harford High School. Her successful 20-year career as a real estate agent was very fulfilling - most of that time with O’Connor, Piper & Flynn. Mrs. Snodgrass later completed seminary studies at Wesley Theological Seminary. She was the pastor of Mount Vernon United Methodist Church in Whiteford for 12 years, retiring in 2009. She enjoyed genealogy, often researching her Scots-Irish royal heritage. She loved vacationing in Chincoteague, VA, and Venice, FL as well as gardening, though she was happiest at home on her porch, spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by:
Two daughters-
Julia Snodgrass Ledford of Street, MD
Lisa Scott Snodgrass of New York City, NY

Three grandchildren-
Sydney Elizabeth Huth
Sarah Gabrielle Meissner
Emily Christina Ledford Jones

Two great grandchildren-
Aaron Huth and Ian Huth

The family is planning a Life Celebration in her honor at Emory United Methodist Church on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Emory United Methodist Church, 911 Cherry Hill Rd, Street, MD 21154.
