Life Story for Ross C. Dinsmore

Ross C.  Dinsmore
ROSS C. DINSMORE, 73 years of Delta, PA, died on Saturday, August 20, 2016 in his home. Born on January 31, 1943 in Delta, PA, he was a son of the late Fulton R. and Elizabeth (Barton) Dinsmore.

Ross and his eight siblings grew up on the farm and the love of agriculture continued throughout his entire lifetime. A resident of York County, he completed his education at Kennard Dale High School in Fawn Grove, PA and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He secured construction employment with Bechtel Construction Company prior to Aberdeen Proving Ground in Harford County, Maryland where he worked as an operating engineer for over 26 years. During both of these jobs, he was a part-time farmer for 30 years raising beef cattle. Retiring at 61 years of age, he enjoyed farming and family. Ross was known by all to be a very caring, kind and generous man.

He is survived by

Bruce Dinsmore of Darlington, MD
Roxie Gullion of Forest Hill, MD
Grace Cline of Rolla, MO

Many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his siblings: Bob Dinsmore, Harold Dinsmore and Mabel Cox.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, the 17th at 11 a.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, Delta, PA with a visitation one hour prior to the service.

Military honors will be presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard at the funeral home.
