Carolyn J.  Evans-Corder
CAROLYN J. EVANS-CORDER, 74 years of Delta, PA, died on Monday December 12, 2016 after a courageous 30-year battle with cancer. Married for 19 years, she was the loving wife of Ray Corder.

Born on December 2, 1942 in Delta, PA, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert C. and M. Elizabeth (Pomraning) Evans. Carolyn was a 1961 graduate of Kennard Dale High School and worked at Aberdeen Proving Ground for many years. She also worked at Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, Pine Grove Presbyterian Church, and Donegal Presbytery. She loved making crafts and had her own ceramic business, The Three C’s (Carolyn’s Ceramic Cellar.) Carolyn stitched her love into countless quilts and afghans that she uniquely made for her family. She loved sewing and attended weekend quilting retreats with her friends. She also loved camping with her husband Ray and spending time with family and friends.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main St. Delta, PA 17314 and Wednesday, December 21st from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Pine Grove Presbyterian Church, 4263 Delta Road, Airville, PA 17302 where the funeral service will begin at 12:00 noon. Her pastor, Reverend James B. Shuler will officiate with interment at Pine Grove Cemetery. Upon arrival please seek Harkins Funeral Home staff attendants for parking assistance.
