I have so many fond memories of Betty. Betty and Tom were a big part of my childhood. They were our neighbor's from the time I was about 4 or 5. Betty was the first to cut my long curls off and give me bangs. I went on many trips with Betty, Tom and the family. As I got older and left home, I lived with them for years. I learned many life lessons from two very special people. At a sad time in my life..they were by my side through it all and for that they know how grateful I am. My Dad had passed so Tom walked me down the aisle on my special day. He loved me as if I was his own. As we grew up, they never left me out on anything, I was always included. They never missed a Birthday,or any other event. They were always there. I have such fond memories of the good ole Fire department days. I recall Betty always directing traffic at 136 and Main Street, so the fire trucks could keep moving. All the fun we had working at the Hill Climbs and any other fund raiser that the Fire Department had. I recall all the classes that we took along the way. Betty was always our ride to the next class in Jarrettesville. And the fun we had in those classes with Therman Ellis. We were always the patient for the training classes at the fire house. Then there was Bingo and she loved it so so much. To end, I want to thank them both from the bottom of my heart for all the beautiful memories. I love you and will miss you everyday. Especially our coffee and talks when you stopped up at the house weekly.
Tommy, Melissa, Paul and Sam...I love you all so very much!!!!
