I HAVE KNOWN JOAN SINCE FIRST GRADE AT SLATE RIDGE ELEMENTARY. SHE WAS ALWAYS A LOVING , KIND, HELPFUL INDIVIDUAL WHO PUT OTHERS FIRST. I REMEMBER ONE OF OUR TEACHERS SENDING JOAN AND LAURA OUT TO THE PLAYGROUND WITH ME TO LOOK FOR MY LOST LOCKET. WE FOUND IT ,,,THANK GOODNESS. IN HIGH SCHOOL JOAN WAS A DEARLY LOVED SPARKPLUG FOR NHHS. WHAT WILL WE DO WITHOUT HER? REST EASILY UNTIL WE ARE TOGETHER AGAIN. ELAINE TURNER SEIBERT

Joan has been a faithful and loving friend to so many of us over the years. We grew old together! She was at my house the week before she went into the hospital and we had a good visit. When I would call her she would answer..."My dear dear Mary"..I am sure she did the same for all of her friends. I loved her. She was loving and generous to everyone she knew. We would talk probably once every week or two and paled around together. We will all miss her. I feel blessed to have been with her at the end and tell her that I loved her and kiss her goodbye. I am sure she knew how much we all loved her. My life has been enriched because of her friendship and love. Love and prayers to her family.

To Joan's family: My Mom (Catherine (nee Arnold) Pabst) always spoke fondly of her schoolmate Joan Whiteford Ege, noting how warm and personable Joan always was when Mom saw her. We both are so very sorry for the loss of this wonderful individual. May her memory always be a blessing. My Mom and I send our deepest sympathy to any of Joan's surviving family members.

Warm regards, Brian R. Pabst (Baldwin, MD)
