Music
I have so many fond stories of my dad and I. The ones that stand out the most are the ones of us playing blugrass music together. Him and I were in a few bluegrass gospel groups and enjoyed traveling up and down the east coast spreading the word of God through song. Dad was always the comedian of the group. He would bring a smile to anyones face. Traveling with him was such a fun time. I laughed so much during some of our trips that my sides would hurt. We traveled thoughout Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia, New Jersey, and even stopped over into Tennessee once. We met so many people, and yes most of them could not escape one of dad's silly stories. When I got married I stopped traveling with dad. He understood I needed to venture off and raise a family. He still kept on playing until his health started to get the best of him. I can still hear that dobro playing in my head and I never want to forget that beautiful sound. I love you Pop, and will miss you forever. Time will heal our hearts but the memories you gave us will last forever.
