JEANNETTE B. OBERG, age 81 years of Delta, PA, died on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at York Hospital. Born on July 15, 1931 in Alturas, CA, she was a daughter of the late William and Matilda Jeannette (Hobbs) Garrette.

Living in the area since 1959, Jeannette had moved from Baltimore, MD. She retired in 1995 after 25 years of service working as a secretary for PECO at the Peach Bottom Nuclear Plant. She enjoyed reading, puzzle books and spending time with her family.

She is survived by:
Five children-
Richard Oberg of Fallston, MD
Jean Basham of York, PA
Charles Oberg of Frackville, PA
Mathew Oberg and his wife, Penny of Stewartstown, PA
Michael Oberg of Delta, PA

Five grandchildren and three great grandchildren

Two brothers-
Wayne Garrett and his wife, Pat of Denver, CO
Billy Garrett and his wife, Mildred of Georgia

Numerous loving nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by two siblings.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2013 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA.

Cremation will follow with no additional public services.

In lieu of flowers, her family would appreciate memorial contributions to the Bell Socialization Services, Inc., 160 South George Street, York, PA 17401-1408.
