My favorite memories of not only Pop but of my child hood is looking forward to warmer weather and the sun starting to set because then everyone in the valley would slowly congregate on Gram and Pop's porch and just talk and spend time together. I wish the military wouldn't have taken me so far away so I could have enjoyed more of those evening with Pop but the ones we did share were some of the BEST memories anyone could ever ask for. Nothing too much ever happened but the family time was always great! I can still see Pop sitting in the same spot by the door, and always asking if I wanted a soda. I miss you so much Pop and I'm so sorry that I couldn't make it home to say goodbye, but I hope the candle lightning and shot of Jameson we set out for you made up for it. Love you :)
