JD, You were my right hand man here at the AASF. You could work circles around the younger soldiers. You always kept the mission first and yourself last. It will be very difficult around here without you. I can only imagine you as a hard headed marine when I see that picture. It’s better to have known you, and to have lost you, than to have never met you at all. I can see you reporting to St Peter now! Watch out St Peter, Jay Dee's taking over.

My heart is saddened at the loss of Jay. I only knew him a short time at Walter Reed but he always was cheerful and an inspiration to many. I had the honor to take him home once and we joked and laughed the entire way. He always filled everyone with laughter. I will always remember his cheerful spirit. God bless your family during this season of loss.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Jay and his family as I had Anna in my daycare. He always had a smile on his face and something nice or entertaining to say about everyone. Jay was a great father to his kids and person to be around. May God comfort all of you during this difficult time!
